Care information
I take great care in making my bags of high quality so they can become your trusty companions for a long time to come. As I don’t treat my own bags particularly gently, I have also put effort into creating bags that don’t require a special treatment.
Below I have summarized a few recommendations for taking care of your bag.

ToggleGeneral use
For me, bags have to be practical and durable. I want to be able to simply bundle them up and stuff them into another bag without having to worry about anything. So here is a list of some very broad recommendations:
- Keep them away from sharp objects; the bags are made of fabric and can thus get holes
- Don’t drown them in heavily staining solutions. You can wash the bags but intense stains might stay and bleach will fade the colors as well
- Don´t forcefully yank them open, the closures do have breaking points
- If they are made entirely of cotton, keep them out of direct sunlight to prevent bleaching
- Don’t expose them to constant friction, the fabrics might get worn over time
Cleaning
Bags can get dirty. Either by dropping e.g coffee on them or from extended daily use. All fabrics I use in the production have been washed beforehand at 40°C. Therefore, all the bags can be washed as well with the following recommendations:
- Gentle wash at 30°C; if you bag has long handles, it might be good to put them e.g. in a pillow case
- When the bag is still wet pull it into shape and air dry it (no tumble dry)
- If the bag is very wrinkled, you can iron it at low heat
- If possible, don’t wash complex bags (especially handbags) too often as it will speed up the wear of the bag
Ironing
It is possible to iron the bag as on a low setting. However, it can be tricky to iron bags if they are small, have a lining or many pockets and handles. If it does have a lining, you’ll always have to press at least two layers at a time. If possible, pull it over the ironing board and press it that way. Otherwise, you can pull the lining out of the bag (it is only attached at the opening) and try ironing the outside and lining separately.
Things worth knowing
All my bags are made from fabric with minor amounts of other materials, such as zippers, buttons and elastic bands. None of them are fragile. So you don’t have to take particular care in using them. From my own personal experience, having used some of my bags for over a decade, there are a few points that might be worth noting:
- Fabrics are woven materials. They will get softer over time and adapt their shape to their content. Even handbags with heavy interfacing will never be entirely stiff. Don’t be concerned though, as the materials I use are sturdy enough to withstand daily use for a long time.
- Closures are under a lot of stress. I do use high quality zippers and closures and it is extremely rare that they show wear but nonetheless I do recommend to be reasonably gently when opening and closing your bag.
