Handbags are such constant companions of everyday life. You stuff all the things you need into them and carry them with you throughout the day. They can be beautiful accessories but they are also important tools. I try to combine the best of both worlds by making them both pretty and practical.

Preferences and requirements are deeply individual and I want to enable you to build your perfect bag. Therefore, I have created a handbag builder which tries to walk the line between limitation and overload, giving you important options while also (hopefully) preventing you from getting lost and overwhelmed.
It all starts with the main bag to which you all the features (handles, pockets, fabrics) you wish. You can also get a matching pouch with a bag bundle.

Handbag, XL, zipper — Handbag (XL, zipper)

Shape

Currently, I offer one basic shape of handbag which I designed to be roomy without looking blocky. It is slightly tapered, has rounded corners and looks great with a feature fabric on the main body and a plain side.

It comes with two different closure types. The first is a zipper running over the entire top and into the side panels. The second is a round flap that is kept close with a magnetic button by default (can be altered).

Available Sizes

To cover most applications, I offer the handbag in six sizes (XXS-XL).

These sizes gets progressively larger in each dimension. The ratio between width, height and depth is very approximately 7:5:2.

The zipper version has rounded corners at the top to make opening easier. Otherwise the flap and zipper versions have the same dimensions.

To give you full flexibility, I offer four types of handles in different length, width and modifications.

Add-on: pockets

There are so many different types of pockets but I am trying to keep things very simple. Thus, I have limited the options to the five types of pockets I find the most useful.

Add-on: lanyards

To make sure it is easy to find your keys and never forget them, you can also add lanyards to the lining of your bag.

Closures

There are two default closures for the handbag series, a zipper or a flap with a magnetic closure. However, the magnetic closure can be replaced by other buttons and locks.

Fabrics

Composition

The fabrics are your choice as well. To make them both comfortable to use and long-living, I use upholstery fabrics outside (typically 80% cotton and 20% polyester) and a cotton lining.

Feature fabric

To cover a wide range of preferences in colors and patterns, I opted for collecting a large amount of types fabrics but only a small amount of each. Therefore, I recommend to choose your preferred base color and pattern category. I will then send you a few suggestions.

Fabric sets

To give the handbags a clean and elegant look, I combine only a few patterns with several matching plain colors. Once you have decided on the main feature fabric and I will send you a proposal with a few combinations to choose from.
