How to lanyard?

Hook it!

I currently offer two metal ‘heads’ for the lanyards to make the usage easier and the lanyards more durable. Both can be used for the same things, only their focus differs a bit.

Keyring: (secure) great when you don’t intend to often detach items from it
Hook: (fast) easily hook and unhook items, quite a bit heavier than keyrings

Stretch it!

Lanyards are narrow bands of fabric (1 cm wide) that can be of any length. Sometimes you don’t want the attached dangling around while others you want to use outside of your bag without having the detach it first.

short: (2 or 8 cm) for attaching tags, reflectors and accessories
medium: (14 or 20 cm) for attaching e.g. pouches that can stay inside the main bag
long: (26 or 32 cm) for e.g. keys you want to use outside the bag without unhooking them

Attach it!

Lanyards can easily be attached anywhere there is a seam. For simplicity I only offer one position in my builders (inside) but just let me know if you want it elsewhere.

Inside: (default) to finding specific items (e.g. keys) easier to find
Outside: for accessories and reflectors

My recommendation

To not completely overload you with options in the builders, I chose to offer a short lanyard with a keyring and a longer one with a hook. I hope that covers most of your preferences. But if not, simply add it to the comment section and I will alter it.

Lanyards

I have added lanyards to the builder of handbags and shoppers but I can add them to any bag of your choice. For example, I added a short hook to my badge holder++ (which evolved more into a wallet with each new version) so I could hook it into my belt loop.

Keyring

This lanyard has a metal keyring. It takes a bit of effort to add items but they are then securely attached
